One number per question.

Goodish sets up the analytics that growing companies decide with: GA4 and Google Tag Manager, product analytics in Mixpanel or PostHog, server-side tagging and Looker Studio dashboards. It is for marketing and product teams whose numbers disagree, and every setup comes with a written reason whenever two systems do.

Why do two analytics tools never agree?

Because each counts differently: different attribution windows, different session rules, different blind spots for ad blockers and consent. The answer is not one more tool; it is deciding which number answers which question, and writing down the reason whenever two systems disagree.

What did measurement change for TMT Finance?

Everything that followed. $4,200 of spend had produced two conversions, and nobody could see why. We integrated product analytics, mapped the application journey, fixed the friction it revealed, and only then relaunched Google Ads. Cost per lead fell from $2,140 to $48.74, and the setup now tracks 90+ data points across GTM and GA4, with Looker Studio dashboards per team.

Need only GA4 or only Google Tag Manager?

Some teams need one piece, not the whole system. Our GA4 consulting page covers audits, migrations of broken properties, key events and reporting in Google Analytics 4. The Google Tag Manager agency page covers container clean-ups, consent mode and server-side tagging that feeds Google Ads and Meta clean conversion data.

What does analytics done properly include?

Web analytics

GA4 and GTM implementation, custom exploration reports and e-commerce event architecture.

Product analytics

Mixpanel and PostHog: cohort analysis, retention tables, advanced user segmentation. Google Analytics tells you what happened; product analytics tells you who did it and why.

Server-side tagging

First-party endpoints, Meta Conversions API and Google Enhanced Conversions: measurement that survives cookie blocking.

Dashboards & handoff

Looker Studio dashboards per team, plus written documentation of what is tracked and how.

Real clients, real numbers, straight from our client reports.

Meta and Google Ads connected to product-usage data, so the algorithms learn from people who use the software, not from form fills. Spend cut on low-intent audiences and refocused on B2B decision-makers.

Working with Goodish was great. They fixed a goal tracking / data integrity issue that had several other experts stumped. I wouldn’t hesitate to work with them again in the future.

How an engagement runs

  1. Audit

We open your GA4, tag manager, product analytics and CRM, and write down where the numbers break and why.

  2. Implement

Events, server-side tagging and the conversions your ad platforms learn from, set up and tested.

  3. Dashboards & docs

Looker Studio dashboards per team and a written record of everything tracked, so the setup outlives any one person.

How is it priced?

Scoped per setup: a single tag and a full monitoring system are very different jobs, so we quote after the free audit.

FAQ

Questions people ask

What is the difference between GA4 and product analytics?

GA4 tells you what happened on your website and where visitors came from. Product analytics tools such as Mixpanel or PostHog follow what people do inside your product, who they are and where they drop off. Most of our clients need both, connected.

What is server-side tagging and why does it matter?

Tracking that runs on a server you control instead of only in the visitor's browser. It keeps conversions measurable when ad blockers and browser privacy features hide them, and it feeds Meta's Conversions API and Google's enhanced conversions.

How much does an analytics audit cost?

The first audit is free. Implementations and monitoring systems are quoted on scope after it, once we know what is broken.
